Albert Einstein and the Lathrup Village DDA
Albert Einstein defined insanity as “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
The Lathrup Village DDA was established in 1997. Our DDA’s mission is “create an accessible village center that fosters economic vibrancy.”
After 26 years and spending more than $4 million dollars with minimal results, a new strategy is needed.
Let’s revitalize our City Center by turning it into a sports and recreation complex developed and funded by our DDA. Pickleball, tennis and basketball courts and a jogging path are all potential features.
Let’s partner with the Annie Lathrup School owner and renovate the building through Historic Preservation Grants.
Let’s proactively attract more specialty retail and restaurants to the Southfield Road corridor.
We can make it happen!
